Opened in 1915, this is the zoo with the third-longest history in Japan, reaching over 100 years. Elephants, lions, and other wild animals live their lives in an environment similar to their natural habitats. There are a variety of events, and large numbers of visitors are entertained by 1,000 animals of 200 species in the roughly 11-hectare park.
